Any hard plastic item that is not reusable should be put into the container marked for disposal. Household and garden chemicals are not accepted at this site.
The City of London provides a free hazardous waste collection service for residents in north London. For advice on hazardous waste such as household and garden chemicals please contact the City of London on or visit their household hazardous waste webpage. Leftover water-based paint is accepted for reuse at Hornsey Street. This leftover paint is also available for residents to take away for free from these sites. Book now Pedestrian access: Residents bringing waste on foot or by bike to Hornsey Street RRC should take the material to the pedestrian drop-off point at the Hornsey Street depot entrance. Book a visit for van or trailer For visits in a van, please make a booking at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.

Is there an age limit for booking accommodation with Chapter? All Chapter residents need to be over 18 from the time of moving in. This is due to the legally binding tenancy agreement that each resident is required to sign before arrival.
We have no upper age limits on our accommodation, so long as the resident is in full time education for the duration of their stay. How secure is the accommodation? We have CCTV in and around each property, an electronic key fob entry system for the main entrance, common areas, each flat and bedroom. There is also staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Will I need to pay council tax? Do I need a TV Licence?
If you bring your own TV, or want to watch or record programmes as they are shown live including on mobile phones, tablets or computers , you will need to apply and pay for a TV License. What if something in my flat breaks? You can log the issue using the Active Building resident portal, providing details so our maintenance team can get this sorted for you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, you can come down to your reception and talk to a member of staff so we can log it on your behalf. Can I have pets? Unfortunately, you are not allowed to keep any pets in your room or any shared living spaces. We want your university experience to be as positive as possible — if you are having any issues with flat mates, please let us know. We will do our best to help resolve any problems you might be having.
Can I receive post and parcels? Your flat has its own lockable mailbox, which you will receive a key to when you check in. For security reasons, you will need to provide photo ID and give a signature to confirm collection. Post will not be given out to other residents on your behalf without written authorisation.
Can I live with my friends? We are more than happy to accommodate groups as well as individuals. Am I allowed to live with a partner or friend? How much will it cost? Please note, both inhabitants need to be full time students, studying at least 20 hours per week. What appliances and furniture are included in my room? All rooms come with a bed, desk and chair. Extras such as kettles, toasters and lamps vary property to property, room to room.
